About the event
There are times in our lives when emotions can get the best of us. We find ourselves reacting, often out of proportion, to situations with a sense of no control. It's like our bodies have a mind of their own.
We may throw our emotion at other people only to have it boomerang back to us, often with a new layer of guilt attached to it.
Why does this happen?
Because we have been taught that expressing our emotions is not acceptable so we hold them all inside until we are at bursting point. And because we were told not to express we were never taught what to do with our emotions when it feels like they are overwhelming us.
Prior to the workshop you ill recieve a video explaining the chain reaction occurring in you right before that emotional outburst. Then in the webinar I will share with your four different ways we can interrupt this pattern and redirect ourselves towards a healthier emotional expression.
Expect an interactive space with time for sharing, self reflection and discussion. You are free to share as much or as little as you like to make this a safe space for you to work through those big gnarly emotions you might be otherwise afraid to navigate on your own.
If you can't make it live there will be a recording available to those who purchase a ticket so you can watch it back in your own time.
I bring with me my knowledge of how the brain works as a Brain Based Coach from the Neuroleadership Institute combined with me understanding of how the body stores and/or processes emotions from my work as a Traditional Maori Healer.
This workshop is open to anyone who would like to build a kete (basket) of knowledge and techniques they can use when managing their emotions in their day to day lives.
